2015 here we come.

This year has begun not with a bang.

Fires again SA and Vic. Hopefully some more changes in thinking and attitudes will emerge.
No lives lost which is a positive change.

The government is still the same. Sad, reactionary, blaming everyone else and failing to take up the gauntlet and turn Australia into a wonderful forward thinking and thriving nation. At this time there does not appear to be a party able to take the place of our old and worn out staples.
New blood and thinking out of the box is required.

A large part of my quite diverse community do still seem to have that same old She'll be Right attitude. They don't want to know. I do hope that this does change and that reality does not bit them too hard.

I am working hard at changing some patterns. Retraining the brain is a very long and hard road when the pattern is 26 years in the making. So far 12 months on there is some improvement.

Let us see how this year progresses and what changes happen.

My worries.

Health.
Environment.
Peace.
The Universe.
Employment.
Governments.

Is it science?

Is it a true scientific study when looking at issues that effect an environmental situation when this study only looks at one or two issues.

How can you get a true result?

When you list historical reports or findings should you not include all data that has an effect on the area of environment.

To say that this one thing does this, so we will not allow this now and forever to me seems ludicrous.

There are thousands of other interactions that have the same effect. Yet are ignored, disregarded and hidden from the data that is published for general reading.

To me this is misleading and very typical of the society that we seem to now be living in.

Twists & Turns

Life as we know it is full of twists turns and bumpy bits.

I ponder my navel quite regularly as one may say.

Along the way I would have loved to have met a guide or even seen a few sign posts. You know the ones 4WD only, impassable when wet. Don't slip or you will drown!

I am here and still walking my path, I have gone through many shoes and now there seems to be a few holes again.

Experience has led me to try and walk each path I choose truly. With honesty, kindness and love.

I strive to do this, I do not always succeed.  I really do believe that we should be kind to everyone even when we do not think the same, do not live the same. We should never hurt anyone or anything. If we all live like this there would be no crime or war.

It is hard to maintain these thoughts when you see what is going on around you. I turn the television off and do not buy the papers. I look at nature and find the good stories, there are many more good stories but they are not as popular as the bad ones...

My shovel wears out regularly and I get very tired of digging but the gold is there if you look. Sometimes you need to look harder and need a better magnifying glass but it is there!

Looking

We look through closed eyes, we listen with closed ears.
Open your eyes, hear the world.
When we live following our heart then we will truly live.
Walk the path you choose not one that others dictate.
Do not follow blindly but follow, seeing and listening.
If you do not like it change it
Learn forever, love forever.

Bought a queen size doona from the op shop $5.00.

Unpicked it and we got 6 drops for the van out of the doona cover. Looks quite good. We do need to buy some more curtain wire. Even with that an economic option for van curtains.

What book?

I have just finished re reading a crime novel. Currently reading one of my favourite magazines Feast. We generally cook one recipe an issue of Feast.

I will consider which book while tantalising my taste buds and considering what to add to the shopping list!

Still hot.

Still hot 35 C again today, humidity 46%. Big puffy grey clouds, looking at the weather map some rain or storms building but nothing in our area as yet.

Sorted through some more items. Looking at what we are thinking of keeping and having second thoughts as to hanging on to some of those items. Put some of these items aside for our next swap meet attendance.

Hoping there is some serious interest shown in the house soon. There must be a family looking for a nice sturdy house with a few acres and plenty of potential.
